Vintage Garden Wedding at Atlantic Center for the Arts, New Smyrna Beach
Frankie + Ashley tied the knot in February at New Smyrna’s Atlantic Center for the Arts. This venue was a new one for Tickled Pink, and we always love getting to know new spaces and especially working with amazing vendors. ACA is an artist’s retreat complete with galleries, studio space, dance studios, and writer’s rooms. They often host surf film festivals in the outdoor pavilion, which is the space Ashley and Frankie chose for their ceremony, which we later flipped to transform it into the dance floor. This wedding was unique in many ways, one of which because Ashley’s best friend and bridesmaid is Kayla Huston, who outdid herself putting together such a beautiful event. When it was time for coordinating the logistics and running the wedding day, that’s where I stepped in. Ashley’s vision of a whimsical, vintage styled wedding came to life with a hanging greenery backdrop for the ceremony, vintage doors and a chandelier over the aisle. Inside the gallery, rows of farm tables filled with vintage china place settings, lush garlands, and various types of candelabras and low candlelight set the scene for an intimate dinner, even among 200 guests. One of the highlights of the reception decor was the hanging wedding cake! Simply Roses provided and dressed the wooden cake swing, with a buttercream cake sitting atop a bed of moss.
Despite some evening rain, this was a magical night to be remembered that surely fit the bill, and the style, for Ashley’s dream wedding. Enjoy today’s featured real wedding!
